Exclusive: 44 Blue’s Sarah Poage boards ITV America; Caroline Abaecheta named EP

ITV America is bolstering its production ranks with the appointment of Sarah Poage, former EVP of 44 Blue Productions, and executive producer Caroline Abaecheta.

Poage (pictured left), named VP of production, previously oversaw operations, production and post-production, as well as finance and business affairs, at Los Angeles-based 44 Blue.

In that role, she helped create workflows and processes that led to the company’s 2016 acquisition by Red Arrow Studios.

During her 17 years at 44 Blue, Poage oversaw multiple series across broadcast and cable networks, first run syndication and streamers and digital platforms, including LockupNightwatchWahlburgersPit Bulls & Parolees and Family Court with Judge Penny.

Abaecheta (right), meanwhile, joins ITV America’s executive programming team, having started her career in the UK where she produced such series as Big BrotherI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and ITV’s Love Island.

She continued her career in the U.S., heading up a number of broadcast formats including American IdolThe X FactorWorld’s FunniestThe People’s Couch and America’s Got Talent.

She was also part of the Emmy-winning team behind A&E investigative series Leah Remini: Scientology & The Aftermath.

The ITV Studios-owned producer also promoted veterans Danielle DiStefano and Tonko Soljan to executive vice president positions.

DiStefano, previously SVP and VP of post-production at ITV America, has been upped to EVP of post operations and technology, while Soljan, previously SVP and VP of business affairs, has been promoted to EVP of business affairs.

ITV America CEO David George said in a statement: “Danielle and Tonko are part of our foundation and responsible for a great deal of ITV America’s success over the years. As we continue to grow our leaders from within, we also welcome fresh perspective and insight to the organization from Sarah and Caroline who no doubt will be a key part of our future as our content business diversifies. Even in challenging times, we are gratified to be able to recognize and create opportunity for all.”
