ITV America-owned Good Caper Content has appointed a new VP of development from Vox Media Studios.

Alison Dammann has been handed the role and will work to expand the company’s programming slate, which focuses on crime and investigation content.

Prior to joining Good Caper, Damman was director of development at Vox Media Studios, where she created original projects for networks and platforms including Facebook Watch, Sundance TV, YouTube Originals and Participant Media.

Before that she was director of development at Mashable Studios, where she helped launch the company’s entertainment arm and introduced more than 40 original series.

Damman began her career at Critical Content, where she helped develop series for more than 25 networks before moving on to the development team at 44 Blue Productions.

Kathryn Vaughan, president of Good Caper, said of the exec: “Her dexterity and experience across a host of subject matter and content mediums is a massive asset, as we continue to bolster our slate with crime content that broadens and redefines the genre.”

Good Caper’s most recent credits include TLC’s three-part special Taken at Birth and MTV’s new docuseries True Life: Crime.
