Network Design and Implementation Engineer

ITV US is the largest independent producer of non-scripted and scripted content in North America through its production labels ITV Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Sirens Media, High Noon Entertainment, Thinkfactory Media, Good Caper Crime, ITV Studios America, and Tomorrow Studios.

ITV US is a reality television powerhouse with hundreds of hours of cutting-edge and innovative unscripted programming, airing on various major networks. We produce leading content including Queer Eye, Hell’s Kitchen, Love Island, The Four, Pawn Stars, Fixer Upper, Forged in Fire, and Real Housewives of New Jersey, just to name a few. In addition, we are building our scripted library with shows including Good Witch and Snowpiercer.

Located in either Los Angeles, CA or Stamford CT, we are looking for a network design and implementation engineer to join the ITV team. The successful candidate will play a multifaceted role in designing, planning, implementing and maintaining the organization network infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, security, and the ability to take projects from conceptual design to practical implementation. Experience working in a video post-production environment is desirable. Due to the nature of the role, candidates should be willing to work outside the normal business hours when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Network Design: Develop comprehensive network architecture and design solutions that align with the organization’s business needs and objectives, considering both hardware and software components
  • Prepare solution outlines, low-level network designs and implementation plans that align with industry best practices and reference architectures.
  • Implementation: Execute the planned network solution by configuring and deploying on network devices, including routers, switches,firewalls and other network devices.
  • Produce implementation scripts, test plans and change controls for all network changes.
  • Support other technical teams in the implementation of storage, compute and production applications such as Isilon, Avid, and Adobe.
  • Cloud Connectivity: Design and implement network solutions that facilitate efficient and secure connections to AWS.
  • Network Security: implement robust security measures to protect the network from threats, including firewalls, VPNs and encryption protocols.
  • Network Optimization: Continuously assess and enhance network performance, capacity, and reliability through proactive monitoring and optimization.
  • Scalability: Design and deploy network solutions that are scalable and flexible, accommodating the organization’s growth and evolving requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies, ensuring that changes are well-documented. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, post production technology, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and seamless implementation of network projects.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay current with emerging networking technologies and assess their suitability for integration into the organization’s network.
  • Compliance: Ensure that network configurations and practices adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, industry best practices, and security policies.
  • Implementation Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end implementation process of network projects, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Network Administration: Responsible for the administration and managing the network.
  • Incident Management: Serve as an escalation point for incident and problem resolution.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including outages, performance
  • Develop strategies to minimize service disruptions.

Essential skills required:

  • Proven experience in network architecture, design and implementation with a strong background in network engineering and cloud connectivity.
  • CCNP and at least 8-10 years experience in a networking role including high/low level design, implementation and incident/problem management.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP,
  • BGP,EIGRP, VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Experience with reviewing network design documentation and the ability to use Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience of working with Cisco router platforms
  • Experience working with load balancers and PaloAlto firewalls.
  • Experience with designing wireless networks including full pre and post site surveys using industry standard techniques.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki Wifi and SD-WAN and wifi site survey tools such as Ekahau.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools, preferably PRTG.
  • Experience working with Data Centers managing cabling infrastructure (copper and fibre), power provision and UPS.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Hands on experience of operational support and hardware implementation.
  • Experience working in a video post-production environment is desirable.

The pay scale for this role is $180,000 to $200,000. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including office location, skills, and experience.
