Job Description

The Business Analyst will be the technology owner for Oracle Application Cloud (Fusion Cloud) Application and other shared services applications such as iManage, DocMoto, etc. The Business Analyst will provide high quality business analysis services.  These services include:

  • Day to Day administration and management of the Oracle Applications Cloud system
  • Act as a key liaison between the Business Teams and other technology vendors/teams in Finance and other shared services areas such as HR, legal, casting etc.
  • Work closely with other technology team members to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

The Business Analyst will build relationships with relevant business stakeholders and work collaboratively and flexibly.   The role will be based out of our New York Office with some travel to our Stamford Office as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze and document requirements and map them to solutions that leverage Oracle cloud applications, especially project modules such as Project Costing, Project Billing and financial domain areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger.
  • Work closely with finance and production accounting business stakeholders, process owners, development team and system integrations to ensure that the solutions provided align with the business requirements and business objectives
  • Administer, Configure, Manage and Support the Oracle Applications Cloud system. Act as a first line of support for the business users. Provide required month end and year end support to business users.
  • Develop a good understanding of ITV’s corporate and production accounting processes and systems.
  • Be the subject matter expert for Oracle Applications Cloud system – specifically Financials and Production Accounting modules.
  • Create Functional specifications, lead system design, testing and deployment of solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation related to business processes, user guide, systems and related technology processes.
  • Review Business Processes and Identify areas for improvement leveraging technology innovation.
  • Provide strong business analysis for other shared services departments such as HR, Legal, Production etc including gathering business requirements, market research, identifying technology solutions etc
  • Collaboratively work and liaise with third party vendors for delivery of technology solutions.
  • Resolve support tickets in a timely manner
  • Develop user training materials and support with user training

Required Work Experience

  • 6 to 8 years of Oracle EBS and Cloud applications experience with leading Oracle financials and project accounting implementations and sustenance.
  • Extensive knowledge in implementing and supporting Oracle Application cloud Financials and Project accounting modules, supported by Very good understanding of finance and acocunting processes.
  • Well versed with O365/ Microsoft office applications such as excel, word, powerpoint etc
  • Good understanding and experience of business analysis skills, techniques, and practices.
  • Experience in eliciting requirements from business stakeholders and creating requirement specifications
  • Proven ability to foster culture of continuous improvement relating to processes and operational performance across the organization to deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels within organizations, including oral and written presentations, proposals, specifications, and reports.
  • Experience of working with third party vendors & System integrators
  • High performer with ability to work independently & with minimal supervision.
  • Having an Accounting degree will be an added advantage.
